Cold Sores? Here’s Why…

RELATIONSHIP OF VITAMINS D AND F, WITH CALCIUM

MAJOR INVOLVEMENT: Calcium transport from the Gastro-Intestinal tract to the bloodstream.

MAJOR CONDITIONS: Rickets, calcium assimilation problems, nose bleeds, haemorrhage, delayed healing, lack of exposure to sun, hypo-tension (low blood pressure) and low blood and tissue calcium.

The issues behind the above vitamins and mineral are largely misunderstood.

sun12-240x240We know that very few people need Vitamin D in the form of a supplement as the ultraviolet rays from the sun convert skin oil to Vitamin D. Vitamin D picks up calcium from the gut and puts it into your blood. So, as long as you have some sun exposure, you will produce Vitamin D. That’s the first part of understanding these essential nutrients. The second part of the equation is found in Vitamin F, today known as Essential Fatty Acid (EFA). EFAs take calcium from the blood and put it into the tissues. Essential Fatty Acids are mainly found in oils. If deficient in these oils, calcium will not be delivered to the tissues.

So, Vitamin D takes the blood from the gut to the blood steam and EFAs take it to the tissues. Tissues include organs and not just your skin.

A person chronically low in EFAs, may experience sunstroke. Sunstroke involves high blood calcium levels with low tissue calcium levels. Excess Vitamin D from extreme exposure to the sun is known to cause cancer. You might have read articles that say you should stay out of the sun, that sunshine is hazardous to health. Well, it’s only dangerous to people who are EFA deficient. The Vitamin F part of EFA is the polyunsaturated fatty acid found in meats and butter as examples. It is not found in vegetable oil. And by the way, margarine is a phony food. It starts as good oil, but when hydrogenation is introduced it is converted into stearic acid, which is a hard saturated fat. (Hmmm, hardening of the arteries?)

Calcium is a salt mineral with two positive charges. It is a major factor in skin health. Its presence in our skin protects us from outside contaminants such as bacteria, fungus, parasites and viruses. Low “tissue” calcium levels in skin can result in intense ITCHING. This can increase to HIVES, CANKER SORES, COLD SORES (really a hot sore) , and if you have the HERPES virus (as 98.9% of the North American population has) mucous tissues in the lips or genital and anal area can develop painful WELTS OR BLISTERS. Overworking, overstressing or overdoing anything can lower the blood calcium levels even further, resulting in fatigue and exhaustion. And “pop”, out comes the blisters.
The above conditions respond quickly with the administration of bio-available calcium.

Calcium is the 5th most abundant element in the earth’s crust and biosphere and is essential to all earth life forms. The late Paleolithic Period of 35,000 to 10,000 years ago was the most recent time our human forebearers lived in the bios for which they had been bio-chemically designed. The agricultural revolution occurred 10,000 years ago reducing the wide variety of wild foods in the human food chain. This change spread universally and forever decreased man’s dietary intake of minerals, trace minerals and rare earth minerals. In the 20th century adults have only 1/3rd this calcium intake.

There are no less than 147 deficiency diseases attributed to calcium imbalances. Some include osteoporosis, receding gums, arthritis, high blood pressure, insomnia, cramps, twitches, PMS, Bell’s Palsy and panic attacks. Bone spurs and calcium deposits at the sites of insertion of tendons and ligaments (bursitis, tendonitis, myofascitis (fibromyalgia) are a result of calcium deficiency in trauma areas.

Calcium also is required for the release of energy from ATP for muscles to contract. It aids in blood clotting, mediates the transport function of cell membranes to send thoughts and actions and mediates the synthesis of hormones.

Calcium deficiencies can come from a diet high in phytates found in the stems of many plants such as oatmeal and whole wheat. Oxalic acids found in cooked rhubarb, spinach, tomatoes and fruits (such as pies), peanuts, pop, deli meats and processed foods (ask us for a chart) binds with calcium to form an insoluble sludge, calcium oxalate which can lead to gout, arthritis and stones. Pharmaceutical drugs such as diuretics result in decreased absorption of calcium. Excess of caffeine can leach calcium from the bones.

Sufficient acid in our stomach sets up calcium absorption. This acid is developed from salt in our diet. A diet low in salt will result in less acid. Less acid, less calcium absorption equals lactose intolerance all the way to celiac disease.

It was the medical profession 50 years ago that said to reduce salt and fat intake. They neglected to inform the public of what kind of salt and fat (in reality, the food conglomerates gave them limited information). We listened; they were ‘our’ doctors after all. But, they were never trained in nutrition, only pharmacology. It was the food industry that influenced the medical profession to become their spoke-persons for marketing programs and the concept that you can get all your requirements from the four food groups. Even so, the food conglomerates still take away and then add artificial vitamins and minerals to warehouse foods. Even present day baby formulas have much less supplements in them than dog food!

Reduction of salt in the diet leads to loss of calcium and increase in blood pressure to compensate = HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE.

Reduction of fat in the diet leads to loss of insulation and dehydration occurs. In the brain, this is called Alzheimers. We didn’t see this terrible condition until the phase of low-fat diets. We need the good fats. Notice how the companies are quick to say they have reduced their bad fats in warehouse foods (packaged)? And what are these fats called? Yes, trans fats. Are you starting to see the bigger picture?

Note: It is interesting that of all our skin colour variations, there are four areas on the body the same in all races. Check it out! Whether you are white, black, brown, yellow, olive, red, etc in skin colour, the palms of your hands and soles of your feet are pinky-white. Ever wonder why?!!! These are solar panels for the invisible spectrums of light. This light reflects through the solar panels in our palms and soles and results in an internal rainbow. This rainbow of light or colour energy innervates the relationship amongst the organs. We vibrate and emote colour. The pot of gold at the end of the rainbow is really called HEALTH.

We need a mere three minutes of sun on our palms to ‘charge’ up. So, everyday, get some rays and get “charged”.

Essential Fatty Acids-The Good, The Bad and the Ugly

No, not hello, but O for oil, L for low and A for acid.

Put that with Can and we have Canola, Canada Low Erucic Acid Rape (LEAR). Canola sure sounds better than rapeseed oil.

The oil from the rapeseed is the most toxic of all food oil plants. It is part of the mustard family, from which came mustard gas as a chemical warfare agent and blistered the lungs of many World War One soldiers. Canola oil contains large amounts of isothiocyanates, cyanide. It is an industrial oil used as a lubricant, synthetic rubber base and as an illuminant for the slick color pages in magazines.

Rapeseed oil was in widespread use in England and Europe between 1986 and 1991 till it was thrown out because of cows, pigs and sheep going blind, lost their minds and attacked people; they had to be SHOT!!! Remember Mad Cow; right. It wasn’t scrapie, it was canola oil :(.

It does not belong in the human body.

Here son, take this, it’s good for you! Yuk Dad, it tastes awful. Yes son, but it’s good for you.

Remember that? It was CLO or cod liver oil. Who sold my Dad on that? Grandpa did. Our Van Dueck ancestry has been traced back 8 generations to the areas of the North Sea. My metabolic profile is a parasympathetic fast. If we divide the earth latitudinally from zero at the equator to 10 at the north pole, I’m a 9! I need the ocean fish fats and the animal and land ones as well.

50 years later I understand what my Grandpa was doing. And I finally found a way to explain it to myself and patients. Fish oils, specifically the deep ones or Omega 3’s act like… believe it or not…ANTIFREEZE. Think about it for a sec, those fish live in frigid water, yet thrive. Some toads can freeze and thaw months later. That’s what antifreeze does. Compare it to the radiator in your vehicle; same thing. It keeps the motor hot in freezing temps and cold in hot temps. The oils in our body keep our blood and lymph moving, but the omega 3’s ‘radiate’ our temp control thermostat, which by the way is in the brainstem. So neck problems plus antifreeze issues can cause temperature fluctuations.

So check your antifreeze levels by contacting (Contact Reflex Analysis) the oil and salt (dehydration ) reflexes. Trace a finger along your collarbones towards the breast bone. You will come to a notch and a bump. Press hard down into these notches. If tender, it could be an indicator of deficiency of oil and/or salt. 50% of our brain and nerves are DHA or Omega 3. The brain is essentially a glob of cholesterol in a pool of salt water. When doctors convinced the food industry to restrict salt and fat; they made a powerful monetary move to keep us sick. No salt, no fat equals a shrinking brain, aka dementia, alzheimers, MS etc. Add some canola or other irradiated trans fats and voila MadHuman Disease.

*Just a note…get good salt like Grey Salt, Celtic Salt, Himalayan etc.

I was born in Vancouver and love seafood. I have startled many of my fishing buddies by eating eyes, roe and raw liver at the dock! But I can get my 3’s easily from our product company, Biotics, Omega 111 liquid. It has a pleasant lemon flavour to it. No longer is it YUK Dad.
